Massachusetts based artist, Mary Poliquin (dba Policain Creations), is self taught and found her passion for color and design in 2018 while experimenting with ways to make jewelry. Using alcohol inks with or without resin as a base for much of her artwork, Mary relies on her unique sense of style to produce colorful pieces that can feature anything from people, animals and birds to landscapes and seascapes. Mary lets each fluid piece dictate what it needs to bring any number of scenes to life. This allows the creative process to be fun and the outcome (periodically) unexpected, but it also results in a cohesive and beautiful piece of art.
